So the other day i went to buy an electric mixer to make these cupcakes. We don’t have much in the way of baking equipment at my house and i really needed one, especially for the icing. Anyway i start making the batter and go to get my shiny new mixer when i notice the metal beaters aren’t included! I had to throw out the batter in the end. The next day i got a replacement but i was still annoyed.
I brought these cupcakes to the Flinders University Multicultural Festival at the Japanese speaking club table and they all sold :) I hope everyone enjoyed them! I was happy to make some new friends too~
Everything in Japan has to be cute - even drain covers. I miss cute culture. This is a photo from Tsuken island (also known as carrot island), Okinawa.
It was taken in August 2012, the end of my 1 year exchange trip. I can’t believe it’s been a year.
I read a study recently that cute things help you concentrate. I love having cute stationary, even after i finish university i think i’ll continue to have stuff like this :)
My beautiful sister wearing a bow headband i knitted.
It was nice staying with my family while i was studying, but now i’m on holidays i can actually have some fun. I’ll be back to come do awesome stuff with them and everyone else i’ve been neglecting.
Every morning i come out into the lounge room and have to move this cat from my spot (near the power point where i plug my laptop in) and he literally sits here all day.
