Hello kitty phone straps
Panda udon
In Japan they love to make food look like touristy things, especially cute things. You can buy a Sky Tree parfait and gundam pasta for example :p In Ueno there is a zoo with pandas and i saw this udon pasta display at the shopping district in Ueno.
I’m in Canada now but I want to post about things i hadn’t previously posted about when i was in Japan. This is an example of cute but totally random toys in the toy machines. Either ufo catchers or those capsule machine (gatcha) there were always cute toys (way cuter than in Australia!) If i wanted a cute new toy to hang off my bag i only needed to pay 100yen at a capsule machine to get one (i’m no good at the ufo catchers). These plushies look like mushrooms, my friend Hannah got one!
It was my friends birthday so we dressed in Alice in wonderland costumes and did purikura :)
Yukata kid by ~sharvani
Tanabata (star festival) is next week and to celebrate i went to a Japanese cultural day with some of my friends at the international dormitory. We wore yukata (summer kimono), tried ikebana (flower arranging), drank tea, origami and wrote our wishes on paper (tanabata tradition). This child was cute so i took a photo~
AKB48 vegetbable drink advertisement
I’ve seen these advertisments everywhere, i think vege drinks taste terrible! They are trying to get people to use them in food i think.
I went out with my friend the other day and we ate ootoro (fatty tuna) it was a delicious! I love Shinjuku~
